Baima Future Food Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as the Institute) was established on December 18, 2020, located in Nanjing National Agricultural High-tech Industry Demonstration Zone (the only one in The Yangtze Delta). On May 21, 2021, the institute held its first council meeting and elected Zhu Chaoping, deputy director of Nanjing Science and Technology Bureau and executive Deputy Director of Nanjing National Agricultural and High-tech District Management Committee (Preparation) as the chairman, and appointed Professor Liu Yuanfa, dean of school of Food Science and Technology of Jiangnan University, as the first president. The institute consists of 7 departments, including office, Strategic Planning Department, Science and Technology Management Department, Science and Technology Innovation Department, Foreign Cooperation Department, Public Testing service Center and Financial sharing Service Center. The internal management system of "decision-making, management and implementation" has been initially established.

According to the construction and operation mode of "Research Institute + platform company + project subsidiary company", the Research Institute and platform company and project subsidiary company will jointly build a closed-loop operation system of "R&D -- investment -- transformation" with multiple legal entities complementing each other. As an asset-light management platform, the Institute focuses on industrial technology strategy research, innovation factor development and integration, innovation resource introduction, major RESEARCH and development project organization, public research platform construction, etc. Jiangsu Baima Future Food Research Institute Co., LTD. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nanjing National Agricultural And High Zone Development Group), as a platform company with heavy asset investment, is mainly responsible for the site and equipment support of the research institute and the project subsidiaries incubated by the research institute, and participates in the project subsidiaries. The subsidiary company of the project is an independent enterprise legal person, which is absolutely controlled by the talent team. The Research Institute Co., Ltd. and enterprises in related fields have equity shares. Nanjing Fuzhe Future Food Research Institute Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as Fuzhe Research Institute) is the first project subsidiary incubated by the Research Institute. In August 2021, Fuzhe Research Institute was selected as a new RESEARCH and development institution in Nanjing. The first batch of seed factory projects (healthy fats and baking) were settled in the Future Food Industrial Park (Phase I) with a construction area of 5,600 square meters. All the work is being carried out in an orderly and fast way.


Nanjing Fuzhe Future Food Research Institute Co., Ltd. is a technology-oriented service enterprise with registered capital of 5 million yuan. It is the first project company incubated by Baima Future Food Research Institute. It is a public institution jointly organized by the Management Committee of Baima High-tech Zone and Jiangnan University of the Institute, and it is also the first batch of provincial technological innovation center approved by Jiangsu Province.

The company takes Professor Xu Yongjiang's team as the core. Professor Xu's team has been engaged in the green manufacturing of edible oil, special oil for the food industry and the development and research of healthy food for a long time. They have published more than 200 academic papers in this field, including more than 130 SCI papers and more than 100 patents.
